Small Business Consulting
A 3-Pronged Approach to Help Your Business Thrive
When you're running a small business, every minute counts. I've designed my small business package in a way that I can come in, quickly teach you the principles you need, and then get out of your way. If more time is needed, we can discuss that but most small businesses are able to soar on their own at the conclusion of the third month.
Month 1
Revenue Management
Principles
We tackle the hard stuff first. Together, we will identify your breakeven point, ensure that your products/services are priced appropriately, see if costs are aligned with revenues, and that profits are maximized.
Month 2
Public Perception
Audit
How the public sees you is everything. I'll put together a simple document of what they see on social media, your website, and user-review sites. Then we can start making effective improvements to drive more business.
Month 3
Polishing Sales &
Customer Service
The words you choose matter as much as the way you say them, and each customer has their own preference. First, you'll learn the right language and techniques to use. Then you'll teach your team.
About Me
“If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day.
If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”
Have you ever gone to a restaurant, fallen in love with one of their dishes, and then went back for more only to find that they were gone? That's happened to me one too many times. It's not just about the food; it's about the wonderful people who poured their hearts, souls, and likely their life savings into something they love, only to watch it fail. It breaks my heart. So I've designed my business to teach you how to keep your business afloat and thriving.
I spent the first two decades of my career handling sales and marketing for restaurants, hotels, and convention centers, learning the businesses first from the operational side. My operational approach helps me to ensure that I never sell more than a business is capable of handling, which is the key to peace between sales and operations teams. In 2013, I pivoted to the public sector and environmental world, formulating marketing and outreach strategies to change behavior in the nation's second largest city, with over four million residents. I've spoken at several national conventions, helping others to learn and utilize marketing strategies that get results.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with minors in Technical Writing and Business from Penn State University. In 2009, I earned my Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University with emphases in Marketing and Global Business. During the pandemic, I completed an Executive Education Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University as well as a Leadership Certification from Cal State University, Los Angeles. Continuing education is important to me, and I make time to read business-related books when I can; I'll probably suggest some for you, too! I also mentor youth, assisting them to overhaul their resumes, connecting them with resources, and helping them prepare for the next step in their career.
I'm a happy wife, a proud mommy of two beautiful toddlers, and mom to two very talkative huskies. Born and raised on the East Coast, I am half Taiwanese, half German-French. My father and grandfather served in the US Army, and I have great respect for our nation's military. In my spare time, I serve as the Board President of a California 501(c)(3) that serves families in need, and I enjoy Knotts Berry Farm and the Long Beach Aquarium with my family as often as I can, in between exploring local restaurants and supporting small businesses.
